As far as I know some do, some don't. Not the most helpful of comments but I'm sure that not all of them have cameras.

It wasnt at a natwest bank though and the plate still hasnt been put on a week after my incident.!

Given the fact it hasn't been repaired probably means it either doesn't have a camera, or has one that doesn't work. Do you honestly think that the bank was that concerned that they would leave it unrepaired? You can't carry on thinking that you're going to get life in prison otherwise you're going to end up losing your mind.

On one of your other threads someone mentioned that they are designed to take abuse and can withstand a lot due to holding large quantities of money - this is correct. They are have blue dye packs in them also. Any severe damage done would spoil the money anyway.

Someone once drove down my round in a JCB and stole the entire cashpoint from HSBC. Just pulled it straight out of the wall.

Most cash points have cameras the ones in banks do anyway. they film anyone using them.

Mine wasn't at a bank it was on a university library wall I went to. The bank who's cashpoint it was nearby and was honest and said I had lost my temper with it last weekend after my card was swallowed and she said they have had issues with that cashpoint and she also said even though it's their bank it's not their cashpoint however I still gave them my details and said if they do find I did damage I will pay repairs and she was very shocked with my honesty and great full. However as I said cashpoint was working fine all week with no bottom plater over keyboard and they had put it back on yesterday still it was very loose so I'm beginning to think maybe they don't care

And I spoke to someone who works very high up in the police and they have said that in that area there have been no reports of anything like damage to a cashpoint and it's been a week now
