Hi Legal Eagles
I ordered a shiny new PC last week.
It eventually arrived yesterday - it had taken a week to get here, from Germany, and the box was battered and tattered (I took photos).
The original packing by Medion was woefully inadequate and DPD seemed to have been playing football with it too - it looked like a large dog had chewed it.
I accepted delivery because I was hoping that the PC would have survived (it was a serious 'one off' bargain) - after unpacking it seemed OK, but after a short while it began misbehaving & locking up.
Obviously it needs to go back for a refund - I'll ring Medion when they open this morning.
I don't think I should be paying the original delivery charge (or indeed a return carriage fee) - but Medion's T&C imply that these are not refundable in any circumstances - are their some magic words I can use to concentrate their minds & get all my money back.
Cheers

What is not good is that I had to ring a premium rate line (0871 - 10p per minute) to arrange it - for the first time ever http:// www.say noto087 0.com/s earch.p hp couldn't find me a standard 01/02/03 number that would accept a call.
It really is unacceptable to make money out of 'customer service' calls - when is the useless OfCom (proud motto "We Make Chocolate Fireguards Look Effective") going to stop this rip-off ....
... not holding breath.

Glad you are getting all your money back, anyway.
I would have emailed them before telephoning.

As well as costing nothing, you have a record of all communications between you and them.

I sort of needed something rather quicker.
What really got things moving was me throwing all my toys out of the pram in a very public way on their Facebook page - all of a sudden they were very keen to help me ... :)
