Section 18 Wounding With Intent

hi my partner male is a victim in a section 18 wounding with intent case, it is due to goto trial as the defendant as pleaded not guilty .
my partner was stabbed 6 times twice nr his heart, in his belly ,under his armpit and a nice 19 cm cut across his back and once nr the lungs on his back ,but the defendant and his wife are saying *** that make them sound confident that he is going to get off with it and before the stabbing the defendant posted on fb that my partner was gonna breath his last breath of oxygen but then it got deleted after the attack but cps arent interested in this , it all came about because the defendant on 2 occasions shouted at my boy and branded him a bully for sticking up for himself against his son both 8/9 yrs old , and the defendant got an axe out to my partner when he went to confront him my partner walked away but in aug they had a fight because of it all and the defendant pulled a knife on him then but a mutual friend took the knife thank god then in march this yr he stabbed my partner after the defendant provoked him so my partner walked behind him asking him wat his prob was then the defendant stabbed him 6 times and left him not noing if was dead on sum cold steps to die and walked into a local shop and bought a bottle of whisky ,then went home and got arrested but they are both telling people its all our fault that i am evil and a bully i worked wiv her for 2 yrs and ave known them for 10 as are neighbours wat do you think the out come will be in court ?i think he will plead not guilty all the way thru .

The case is already set for trial so you should do nothing apart from make a careful record of anything your partner says ( by mouth or online) , the case will go to trial and the evidence will be presented to the court. If it is as you say,he will be found guilty and get a sentence of several years jail.I would think he is looking at 5 to 10 years jail, S18 is always a jail sentence, except under very unusual situations that do not apply here.

Well I should imagine the defendant will be found guilty of something and he won't be laughing on sentencing, I mean the judge is going to lose his patience listening to all this, what a carry on.
