I'm a Bipolar-I patient and under the influence of the depressive phase of Bipolar-I I was living with a man who tortured me. At the time I had an appointment with my psychiatrist and this man cancelled such appointment. A few days afterwards I began doing some work and this work assisted me in unblocking from the illness and then I got better. Is cancelling the appointment a criminal act and is there a law against it.
It could count as 'Mental cruelty' but you would have to prove your case in court. I can't see it being worth the effort for a one off event and in any case he could say he had a reason for cancelling it.
^^ its not right I agree but bringing a case to court to prove mental cruelty is going to take a lot more than that one act to make a case. Plus we do not know the other side of this, the 'man' may have thought that the questioner was too unwell to attend at that time for instance.
