Dwp Tribunal Further Query Please?
Hi All
Further to my last post regarding the above, I have received the papers that the DWP have lodged, all 118 of them!
Am going to try and drop into CAB for advice, but can anyone tell me what actually happens at the tribunal?
I have visions of judges with wigs!!
Thanks all

all they did was go through the form where you get the points or no points , they ask all the same questions as on the form.
if possible can you get a person from welfare rights or the cab to represent you as the male judge never listened to what i said

At my tribunal, 2 years ago, a male judge and a male doctor were in attendance. I found that they both listened to what i had to say about my various ailments and the doctor asked some very pertinent questions. The tribunal found in my favour on a technicality and i am convinced that the judge was influenced by the doctor in coming to the decision. I was on my own and answered all questions honestly. The atmosphere was relaxed and i was put at ease immediately. I agree you should seek professional advice, Chickadee, but you should not be afraid should you have to attend on your own.
another thing is that when i went it is held by the court service and you have to empty your pockets and go through a metal detector then they place one of those wand things over your body like they do at the airport.
they let you take your mobile in but it must be turned off all items from my jacket coins, keys etc get checked

Dr F has given good advice....
They are only interested in the points bit because that is the only way they can allow an appeal.
I think 2/3 are allowed - so as they say - appeal, appeal, appeal......
CAB may co operate - try to take someone becaaaaause....
the success rate is higher.
and good luck - My appeal was in ATOS' time and they really were a crowd of t+ssers.
