Probably some form of Community Order. (i.e. 'probation' and 'unpaid work').

were they the Police ( Haha) ?

BG - do you happen to know if a warrant is executed and the wanted man isnt in the place they break into ? Do the police pay or does the cost of the door replacement fall on the householder and/or landlord ?

erm obviously I am asking as a Landlord

PP:
If the landlord replaces the door he should be able to reclaim the cost from the police. (I've known people who've successfully done so).
