Hi,
do we need in the UK any official government permissions to sell electronic products online ? Or can any electronic product be sold without applying for any official permission? Thanks for your help.
Best regards

No permission is required. Simply comply with the usual rules of UK web trading (e.g. ensuring that a valid postal address is given and that the Consumer Contracts Regulations are complied with) and you'll be OK.
Buenchico’s answer is somewhat brief, especially if you are in effect the importer of the electronic goods that you are selling.

You could find yourself responsible for the CE marking on the product as the importer, even though you purchased the goods CE marked. If so the responsibility to ensure that the products are compliant with all applicable European Directives (e.g. LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE etc) is yours.

Should it transpire that the electronic goods you are selling are unsafe, you could find yourself with a costly product recall, and as a worst case scenario find yourself in jail.

Before embarking on the sale of any electronic equipment – as a minimum be sure that it is safe, meeting applicable safety standards.
There might be restrictions on selling certain things to customers outside the UK. I notice that John Lewis do not offer delivery of computers etc to destinations outside the UK.
