With the aid of a solicitor I am persuing a claim with the MIBm uder bthw 'untraced drivers agreement'.
I find my solicitors' guidance concerning the proceedure for a claim I am making a little questionable. The claim appears to be approaching a possible succesful conclusion. The solicitor is implying that he now 'values' the claim, pricing the compensation that he feels should be due for pain, suffering and loss of amenity together with a sum for losses of earnings and costs incurred by myself as a result of the accident and submits a bill to the MIB. In short, implying that he takes the lead in valuing everything. Is he correct or is the situation as I suspect i.e. that the MIB make the valuations and they themselves will make an offer to me for my and my solicitors' consideration?
I found MIB pretty useless when I tried it
like we identified the driver eventually ourselves
and he said - wodger mean ? I am insured !
honestly the whole thing was a waste of time ....
another time I was contacted myself
by some officious jobsworth
answer within ten days or else you will be hanged drawn and quartered under the road traffic acts as amended ....
and I was able to show by means of copies I had taken that I had conclusively sold on the vehicle 16 weeks before .....
[ so I was obviously uninsured for whatever had happened afterwards ]
