If you think the person is drink driving or driving while disqualified take a note of the car registration number and send a report tom the police that you often see him drinking several pints in a pub and then driving the car. They will put the car on the data base' and the next time a police ANPR camera sees the number it will flag it up as 'of interest' and they will pull it over. He will be asked to show his licence and breath tested.
When the police stop a car the driver is required to give his/her name. It is then checked on the police national computer to see if they have a licence and insurance . They need proof of the name , but not necessarily from the driving licence. If no proof of the name is available the driver is arrested and taken to the police station where investigations will be made to find the correct name.
Jackdaw a 'producer'is only given if they can correctly identify the driver, but the licence is not available. You must be able to prove who you are first.
