False Claims On Planning Permission?
13 Answers
We are currently in the process of filing for a Community Asset Order for our local pub, as without it we will lose our village darts and pools teams (plus a lot more).
We have noticed that the planning permission states the following false claims:
They tried to sell the building as a pub
They tried to find an alternative landlady/lord
We know these are false as our e-mails enquiring were never got back to, even though the response said this would happen by April.
I am wondering if this can invalidate the planning permission? I have done some research online, but I cannot see to find an answer.
Any tips to help us fight will also be greatly received.
Please be positive (and nice), as my ladies darts league is very close to my heart.
We have a Facebook page, petition and GoFundMe page set up already.

Get the press involved. Development is more to do with back-handers to the council. Prove you have interested parties to run the pub.
We lost our village shops in similar dispute, the council boarded up our shops for 2years till we relented to developers. Now our once thriving shops & pubs are houses & flats.

// I am wondering if this can invalidate the planning permission? which is a bit in advance since they havent got any yet
you should think about refuting their statements
CAMRA should be able to tell you if that is a good idea or not and how much time to spend on it ( if it is in fact irrelevant then spend no time at all )
You need also to find out if you can address the council in committee when it is discussing the application - some do and some dont - Manchester allowed personal statements from 1990
they will adhere to rules - we defeated one old peoples application because the rules said they should be 100m apart and this one it turned out, would be 95m ( defeated)
another was a nursery school which abutted onto a canal.
Appeal to common sense ( drownded babies ) defeated that one
( getting planning permission revoked is a completely different ball game - think money )

If you have a free minute, I would obviously appreciate your signatures on our petition.
Very cheeky, I know, but if I don't ask, I won't get!

It looks as if your pub is one of four in the village which does rather weaken your position I'm afraid as most councils will only refuse change of use on the last remaining. Your local CAMRA branch is South Oxfordshire http:// www.sox oncamra .org.uk
Is this right?
The sale is conditional on the planning permission being approved.
"As highlighted to you during our meeting, we have already exchanged contracts to sell the property so legally the ACV nomination or the listing (even if it was successful) would not be able to prevent the sale from going through and as such the property is no longer available for sale to anyone else."
