This is a case involving my son, his ex and their small son.His ex has told him that she has made an allegation against him, but won't tell him what it is for! Following this allegation, she has denied my son access to their little boy. My son has never done any harm against anyone, and has never mistreated his son, so he knows he is totally innocent. Can he find out from the police what he has been accused of?

keep in mind that she may not have done any such thing. If he is being denied access to his son then citizen’s advice would be a good place to start.

Thanks woof. In fact solicitors are already involved though it hasn't got as far as court yet. We are hoping the situation can be resolved by mediation.
Zacs - its' just a horrible family situation we are trying to deal with.

Thank you very much for the link, Eddie.It was very informative. It's such a horrible ordeal we are going through and just in the early stages. My son can't bear the thought that he won't have any contact with his little boy, so even if it's supervised, that's better than nothing.

I have family experience of a similar situation. The family court are very good and now are VERY strong on 'Fathers Rights' . Your son will get to see his child. The court are not stupid they very well know what sort of unfounded accusations are made in these cases. (Unfortunately it seems to be the 'norm' now)
As I said in the other case , accusations have to be taken into account but your son WILL get the chance to have contact with his child. My granddaughter had to meet her Dad at a 'child contact center' at first but the centers are wonderful places for children with trained staff and a huge range of activities and toys, my granddaughter loved going there.
