My Mum passed away in January this year, followed by my Dad 5 weeks later. They had mirror wills, leaving everything to the surviving spouse. We've been told by HMRC's Probate helpline that we don't need to apply for probate for Mum and are in the process of doing his probate.

All their accounts have been closed and balances transferred to a joint executors account (which is my Brother and I).

Do we need to anything more with Mum's will. Submit it anywhere?

I think HMRC would have told you if you had to do anything with her will.
