on what basis? It can only be used on the weekend from what you say and you have used it on Tuesday, bank holidays are not counted as weekends, pay the fine, that's all you can do.

Appeal. You have nothing to lose.

I'd appeal - it's probably an automated system that has sent out the fpn, rather than a person, and it might have been wrongly programmed.

Whether you succeed depends on the exact wording of the bus lane regulations in your town.

Do you drive a bus?
TTT - it's worth appealing.

I got a parking ticket for being parked in a loading bay. I appealed it and got let off.
good to see a wrong answer by Einstein as BA

google 'using bus lanes on bank holidays'
and yo will see that councils have lee way to charge or not charge either way

do some research for where you are
and appeal

the grounds of appeal would be
"using the lane out of hours and the bank holiday in this borough counts as out of hours"

so long as it does of course

[ if they wont or dont tell you - appeal]

Good example of the law advice on answerbank may be tacky
andshould be used with caution ( mine too)
