I have given my tenants a section 8. They have not moved out and have not paid rent for this month (no surprise there but anyway) legally are they supposed to pay rent for Tim in the property even though they have a section 8 ? If yes can I add this to the possession order ?

Thanks

yes and yes
the s8 is just a way of ending the lease
and the tenants are responsible for the property until they give up the keys or give you possession

[if their responsibilities ended before that all they would do is smash up the property and say nothing to do wiv us guv]
remember to read the meters on the day they leave
and write to the utilities with the readins are say the tenants are responsible up to the date and you are responsible for any consumption after
