My ex reported me to the police for battering the kids completely untrue after undue emotional stress can I sue for this

and the practical answer depends on
1) whether you have lots and lots of money ( when you wouldnt be asking us for free) - say £100 000 for starters
2) whether battering the kids was untrue or nearly untrue
3) you might have to show malice
4) you would certainly have to show it was him and not 'must've been him'
5) you would have to get over something called "absolute privilege"
and so on and so on which means NO

then you have no recourse for complaint about lies
because it is based on truth - you seem to have battered someone
and certainly would be grounds for suspicion ( anything not fanciful)
