Gun Threat
Yes, I probably know the answer already (ring the police) but my sons ex-mate (tonight) constantly keeps PMing him on FB with pictures of guns (and ive no doubt that he could get hold of one) They've had a falling out and there is some animosity between them. I know that his mate uses monkey dust and appears to be off his face at the moment (have tried to have a conversation with him myself on FB).
don't want to get the police involved at the mo for various reasons
1) don't know what to make of it.
2) his mate is a really nice person who wouldn't hurt a fly when not on drugs
3) Don't know what exactly what the police would do (no direct threats been made)
Getting a little hairy at this end at the moment.
Thanks.

2) He takes drugs and behaves like a moron - it's this behaviour which is going to sink him. Courts take no account of "people who are nice when they are not smacked off their **** on drugs".
3) For various reasons you dont want them involved. But your son COULD make a complaint of harassment.

Have to say that this m8 of my sons, I have sent money to and wrote to during a recent incarceration. Ive always got on with him and feel like a parent in some ways to him. Hes had a sh.. t life but this recent falling out has put me in the middle. Just a bit afraid by the fact that he is obviously under the influence of something (monkey dust with alcohol) and is able to get hold of a gun if needs be.
Do you think, as a Father, that your son might be in any sort of danger from this man, nailit?
If dangerous when on drugs, who knows what he is capable of, when off his head.....you said they fell out....how were things left?...
I would keep trying to contact him via FB....to have a conversation, as you say....find out why he is sending gun pictures to your son.
You dont want to involve the police, you mention, for various reasons.
Not a good start to 2018 is it, nailit?......but unfortunately because of the company your son has associated with, over the years, you are never, in the foreseeable future anyway, going to be a worry free Dad.....and your son is never going to be out of some sort of danger. I, as usual, wish you all the best....nothing more to add.
