This Chinese bus is coming down today, the scientists no idea of where it will hit earth and a good chance that some of it will be intact.

If it hit a home and caused major damage, say (ok very improbable), who would be liable for making claims against?

so you go after the owner
You almost certainly will have to bring a case in negligence which erm means shwoing the owner has been negligent in allowing it to fall on your house

if it is owned by Chinese Govt any action will be barred on the grounds of sovereign immunity

try your house insurance and let them sue ( principle of subrogation)

so OK this same as - who do you sue if the local mag-lev railway has magneetised your dustbin and thrown it thro your front window ?

they can't say exactly where it will land, but they can say where it won't, ie anywhere outside the green area on the map at https://www.space.com/40140-chinese-space-station-easter-2018-crash.html - which includes the UK and a good part of western Europe.
