I am an American living in wales. I just want a question i had applied for British citizenship this year in feb and i got involved in a fight in a pub on April 28 will its effect my application. Can home office hold my British citizenship application as the matter is in court and still pending prosecution.

Now you take care of your precious American nationality,not even being British can match it. ( I am English) But if you must then I doubt if anything will be able to go ahead until you have got your trouble in court settled.
I am curious to know how you managed to get into a fight on April 28 this year as it's still only April 9.

Do I need to declare pending prosecutions when making an application for British citizenship?
Yes. The nationality application makes it clear that you must disclose all pending matters. Failure to do so may be seen as an attempt to deceive UKVI.

and if UKVI think it is relevant - then they can certainly act on it.
it will be sixty years in prison as the tariff - minus 7.3% discount for good behaviour.
