Am I Exempted From Paying The Council Tax If I'm A Student And Never Received A Bill?

I moved into my flat (rented it) in september. I was never sent any council tax bill through out the year and I moved out in june . This entire time, i was in my final year at university. However, before moving out my landlord asked for proof to show I am exempted from paying the council tax but I never received any bill so I assumed that the letting agency had taken care of it (turns out they hadn't.) My study-term has ended now but on the last day I emailed the council tax office my tenancy agreement and my exemption letter from my uni. Will I be exempted from paying the tax as I was a student when I was living in the apartment? Or will I have to pay as they haven't yet confirmed the exemption? I'm extremely worried as I'm in band G and the council tax is over 1000 pounds

1. Don't worry.
2. Continue to communicate with your local council.
3. If it all goes badly you can agree to pay as little as £5 a month to help clear the debt (if there is one).
4. Contact Citizens Advice if you are unhappy about the council's decision.
5. You're not going to prison, have a CCJ against you or have bailiffs turn up.

and appeal if you dont like it
that will be in the assessment letter

if you do not aagree with this assessment ...
you should do all the appeal steps
but do not ignore
useful life lesson in dealing with the idle tossing schooil leavers who can hardly read and work in council offices

very frequently and the CAB may advise on the wording
they reassess before the appeal - - so it all kinda collapses ( as happened to me a few days ago )
