My friend, well outstanding man, is accused of something he didn't do. His words "it's totally made up. Not even close." The plaintiff has prior mental history. However, friend's Public Defence doesn't do much, except getting a plea of 5 years in prison. It's not right that sane people suffers for someone's insanity.

oh I think the answer to your question can you test a witness for sanity - - - is no there is no category of - - too mad to testify any craziness should be brought out in cross examination

means that the defendant was somewhere in the vicinity doesnt it. If he were iun New York the defendant would say something like - what? I was in New York!

which means that there is something to defend and he needs to pay for a lawyer -
