I am disabled and the bin men leave my bin approximately 50m from the end of my drive I have complained to the council but have heard nothing I seem to be the only one they do this to

There is no way that you can deduct money fro your Council Tax bill. Have you tried complaining to your local councillor?

You can only talk too relevant council department, my MIL gets hers collected and delivered back to her bin store.

Try complaining to your local councillor in person, rather than to the anonymous council. He will want your vote at the next local election.

Are you on pull and return? I don't know if all Councils offer this service, but phone them to ask. If you get this service, they will collect your bin from where you leave it and then return it to the same place.If they don't and you have a complaint the Council can't deal with, phone your local councillor.

Ours will collect from where you keep the bins if you register with them as disabled.

woofgang of course they can't, but call to council will let refuse collectors know that they will need to collect bins. They do work for us, not self employed.

lol. sorry for the diversion - to actually answer the question (although many others have done it more eloquently) No. Have you actually spoken to the streetcare team (or whatever they call themselves in your area)

To resolve the problem just google assisted bin collection followed by your local council and you will get the advise you need.
