I have a claim going through with the FSCS for a pension I was miss sold back in 2006. I have lost a lot of money and others from the same company have claims going through and some have completed and successfully been paid out.
I have been told by the fscs that they are still waiting for 2 pension companies to respond to a request which has been sent 3 times. Apparently they fscs can only request the information 3 times they then have to 'st back and wait' for the companies to respond. In the meantime they have told me that I can chase these companies. I am going to do this but I notice on a copy of the requests the fscs have sent that although it has all my details on including national insurance number it does not say the plan number, even though the fscs have this.
I am just wondering if this is the reason why no response has been given. On the requests it does state that they have 14 days to response.
Just wondered if anyone else ha been through a similar thing or if you agree that by not having the plan number they havent responded?
I'll bump this back onto Latest Posts for you, uncletom, and hopefully someone who can help will see it. I'd have thought the NI number would have been enough for the pension company to trace it. I'd be interested to know the grounds for a mis-selling claim. Was it a transfer out of an employer's scheme?
