If you are providing evidence of maintenance at a later date, a closing balance later than the date of application will not be considered towards the maintenance requirements.

it means that it is all decided on info valid on the day of application

lots of things rent arrears etc get larger as application date passes and the court case date looms - so when you say "hold on there is more!" they say they will take the figure on that was true on the day of application
