My daughter has sold her house and wants to buy and move into her mother's bungalow. Mother is in a home and the PoA she signed has come into effect. My son, is a co-signatory.
Son and daughter have agreed on a fair price for the bungalow but there seems to be a problem with solicitor acting for its sale, suggesting that as she is purchaser and involved in the PoT there may be a clash of interest.
I oversee all this and all is above board .How to overcome this?
If your son is co-signatory on the POA, and agrees to the sale I can't see the problem, but I'm not a solicitor, I worked in Estate Agency and we came across this scenario occasionally. Best get clarification from the acting solicitor who maybe just being cautious.
