Is This Normal Behaviour From Tv Licensing?

I cancelled my DD with them two days ago and today I received a snotty email asking me to set up another DD straight away or risk having my licence revoked, and my details given to a Debt Collection agency.
My licence does not run out until Jan. 31st 2022.
Is this how they go about their business?

TV Licencing can be a pain in the armpit. A couple of years ago, I was one day late in paying. OK, it was a day late but they pursued me for 6 weeks and threatened me with prosecution, despite proof that I had paid.
