I Dont Think This Is Legal And I Would Like Some Opinions

So my girlfriend found her dad's phone in her bathroom and it looked like it was recording she didnt touch it and just moved out of vision and did what she needed. she's +18 plus and this is starting to creep us out any laws? about this? we live in Flordia

recording if that is what he was doing wouldn't be legal i don't believe any place. Does she live with her dad?

tricky one, if she confronts the dad then he could simply deny it, and if he does then she doesn't have a lot to go on.

Yeah.. i told her to just try and stay away from it and try and collect evidence.

Hes been like weirdly creeping around the house kinda, she always has her door locked so he cant get in. she told me hes always been kinda weird

then do it sooner than later, get her out of the house, if he has been recording her, then that is not only weird but criminal to my mind.

Gotcha, yeah were working on it. I just couldnt find anything when i searched it up and stuff it was just not showing anything so i tired to find any website to help

there are a number of people on here i am sure can advise but not sure about the legal aspects as you are in USA. If this happened in UK, and he was caught the law would be involved, i just think that if you can get her out of the house the sooner the better.

If she really believes the camera was recording and not just left in the bathroom by mistake she needs to think about reporting this to the police. It is a horrendous thing to do.
