The Supreme Court post is for life, but the posts of the people that use the Supreme Court judgment to make abortion illegal in their states are not lifetime. Those people can be voted out and replaced with people who will reverse those laws.

It's on all the news outlets. Here's an explanation of what it means. Definitely another step back in the US...both for women's rights and democracy...which is disappearing quickly there.

What's the question ...
Supreme Court leakage?
Roe vs Wade reversal?
I suspect it has been leaked in order to give the opportunity to reflect/review/revise in light of reaction before final publication.
If it goes through as-is, I can't see it being good for the Republicans' chances of gaining/regaining power at all political levels in the US.

It's predicted that 26 states will ban abortion. I honestly don't think this would affect Republicans all that much. Time will tell.

ymb - // //The President should load the Supreme Court with a majority of younger liberal judges and strangle this proposal at birth.//
Ah, modern democracy in action! //
On a level with the 'modern democracy' that allows a bunch of complete strangers (men in the majority of course) to tell any woman whose circumstances they know nothing of, and care less, how she is to proceed with her own body, and make decisions for her that affect the rest of her life.

Supreme Court here is 75 ( age)
and yes their Lordships insist that the days that they can still do good are not over at 75
Drownded is from Albert and the Lion ( you really knew this innit) - no body drownded nothing to laught at , at all
we - in dear old blighty- dont have this idea that the law is immutable - the Constitution as is should never be changed ( 1789 for chrissakes)
whereas other see it is as changing with the times
House of Lords 1973 said it could over rule itself but I havent seen anything as spectac as this !
thank you for your thoughts boys and girls
