I am wanting to make a complaint about a job centre. Not any specific benefit, a job centre.

I am wanting to do it via the internet

Online is free to do, but posting a letter costs around a pound. Somebody needing the services of a job centre probably has to watch every pound!

You can contact them by phone, in person or in writing."

Maybe worth a phone call to let them know you want to make a complaint, and/or give them a chance to address your issue without needing to make a formal complaint. Good luck.

So, I cant redress a government department because I choose to do it online?

Calls go through to a centralised call centre who again refer you to Gov.uk

you may want to do it online, but from the links provided, it seems you can't, so you have reached an impasse, and in my experience govt depts dont back down, or you could get very old waiting for them to do so :)

Speaking as ex job centre manager.. best to direct complaint to manager of said office directly..or to area manager.. names of such will be provided by front line staff or telephone on request..better to put in writing, you can hand over a letter marked for the attention of and private and confidential
