Joint Attorneys. Acting Jointly And Severally. (Lpa)
Further to my last posting on LPA's. Thanks to those who responded. Great information.
However extending that situation further as below, I would welcome further comments.
Two Donors, husband and wife both in the mid 80's, are each wanting to act as attorneys for each other, initially on finance decisions and then on Health and Care. Because of the possibility one or other of them may become unable to continue as attorney they want to appoint "Reserve Attorney's" for each other. Unfortunately there is only one candidate that they both trust that could fulfil this role. Accepting the practical solution of attorneys acting "Jointly and Severally" is it acceptable to have one attorney acting for both Donors?
