A housemate to a HMO was evicted owing rent to the letting agent. The bailiffs were called but he did not have all of his possessions by out of the house by the stated time.

The front door and his room lock were changed .He was told to contact the letting agent for further enquiries

Cab I pass him as an ex housemate his kitchen and fridge/freezer food, and mail through the window if he requests it ?

Go for it.
The bailiffs don't want that, it has no value to them.
How will you get in to his room?
It sounds like a house that is let out in single rooms, so I assume his food is in a communal kitchen and his mail will be posted through the front door with all the other mail.
I don't understand why you want to pass it all through a window. Why not go outside and meet him? I can't see that anyone could object to that.
Good point, naomi, I was thinking of the grotty bedsit I lived in for a time with a tiny 'kitchenette' in the corner
Naomi is not a lawyer
yes you can
depending on the paper work, the bailiffs probably after possession which is why they didnt empty his room ( distress of goods) in a s21 rather than for rent owing s8.

you want to give him his KITCHEN ? anyway yes, and the mail as they are both clearly not the bailiffs

you clearly DON'T say hi everybody look what I am doing !

Pick up his mail and readdress it is better -

sorry about your mate - he has to learn this happens if he doesnt pay rent.

eat the food and give him lu-lu in er lieu - try to pick grenz who pay rent

I think Hoppies answer is better
grenz = frenz = friends
//Naomi is not a lawyer//

You're right, PP - no one said I am - and as far as I'm aware neither are you.
Yes naomi...pp can be quite funny but I saw that as a unnecessary uncalled for dig...your answer was no more law related than any other
Thanks bob. It's par for the course. He's been doing it for years.
Earlier on another post he claimed to be ex NHS employee and yet he also claimed to be an ex lab rat at Porton Down. I smell a rat.
And among other things, an archaeologist. You name it - he's done it. Pinches of salt all round.
After some furious Googling I've discovered that people can have more than one job.

A bit like watches.
Yes you can give the guy his mail and food. Bailiffs cannot take personal mail and have no interest in peoples bags of fish fingers and frozen peas
No salt for douglas then. :o)
