my husband died a few years ago after a battle with dementia..I never thought that I might want to travel again, so let my passport lapse in 2019. I have no wish to go to Italy but would like to see my remaining family in Belgium;.I was told, years ago, that since my children were born here, I could ask for a kind of british passport.I enquired at the post office but they couln't help me.I have read the guidance for paper passport application but none of the sections seem to apply to me..Help needed.... please

Whilst it used to be very simple ( prior to 1965) , the CE, Brexit and immigrants have made it much more complicated ring the passport office as advised but I wd renew your Italian one as simplest - having made SURE that they will let you back if you leave My late lady mother had this ( India 1947) and it is an awful run around, but once sorted is OK. - and my father...
