ex about to go bankrupt

Can my ex s creditors force me to pay the rest of my outstanding divorce settlement if she goes bankrupt.I agreed via the court to pay her in two stages half then half in two years time.I owe �8k but I cant raise this amount now.Coild I be faced with her forcing me to come up with the money?

If your ex wife becomes bankrupt then her claim against you fro the money will vest in her Trustee in Bankruptcy, who will be entitled to receive payment on the same terms as was your wife. The individual creditors will not be able to seek payment from you.
