Taking Back Goods.
I bought a Zen Creative ipod thingy about 8 months ago - and there is a problem with it. I paid cash, and since I have lost my receipt, but I did genuinely buy it in a store. How do I stand getting a new one / repair? Please help - I am going back this afternoon. Thanks.

They would need to know that you actually bought it (rather than nicking it!), when and for how much. You could try asking them to check their records for the specific day you bought it, but if they can't help you then they are not necessarily wrong by refusing.
Might also depend on the shop as some are more helpful than others. Could also try under manufacturer guarantee but I guess that might involve proof of purchase as well!
