I'm thinking of starting a home cleaning business, will I need a police check or something to show the householders I am not a criminal you help on this will be very much appreciated

call your local police station and ask for forms for a subject access form
fill it in, with various ID and send �10 and you will be sent a certicate with any criminal activity on it. takes about 40 days
