Death Certificate Abroad

A friend of mine has just had the tragedy of her husband dying on holiday while in Spain. They have a spanish death certificate, and have had a post mortem done over there (again, report in spanish).

The difficulty lies in either getting these translated and officially recognised by life insurance companies here so they can claim their righful payout.

Does anyone know whio can bring about a speedy solution to this problem?

Ask the life insurance companies what they would deem to be official, certified translations.

If you google for 'certified translations' you will find a number of companies offering this service. Before paying anybody your friend needs to ascertain that the insurance companies will recognise the translations, or can recommned a company.

Working in law myself I know of a solicitors firm who has a Spanish Lawyer who translates legal documents from Spanish to English.
