How much does a divorce cost?

Not meaning, the financial arrangements between the parties involved. Is there a statutory fee you have to pay, just for the divorce. Thanks.

From memory, I seem to think that my divorce cost us about �220 in court costs - although it may have been less. We sorted out the financial stuff ourselves (no kids) and did not involve lawyers. Have a look at www.courtservice.gov.uk I think that's where I got the info at the time. When we decided to divorce I said to my (now ex) husband that we could do it the nice way and divide up what we had between ourselves or do it the nasty way and divide up what we had between the lawyers. The nice way worked for us and we still talk from time to time.
