not sure if this is in the right catagory but oh well. to make a long story short (VERY long story) we were promised a conservatory to be built by december last year.
work was meant to start september....then it moved to december. the actual building is now up but the work is an absolute mess. they keep saying they will come and fix it but never do. at one point they thought the whole conservatory could actually come crashing down because it wasnt even fixed onto our house properly. i held back a 1000 or so, and thats the only thing keeping them. im not paying the rest of the money until everything is the way we asked for. this isnt the only problems we have had with them. whenever we phone to complain and wonder where the heck our builders are they dont want to listen. I am not sure what else we can do about it and its driving me crazy. surely there must be someway around this??? its been over a year now - what on earth can we do?

they just told us to contact them and say excactly whats happened.....we have done that to our full extent
One of the first things to do will be to obtain the advice of a surveyor or other expert (one who knows about conservatories) eg http://www.expertexpert.com/ who should inspect the conservatory and prepare a report detailing exactly what is wrong. If the original builders are unable or unwilling to put it right you will need to get someone else to do it and then claim the cost from the first builder. You will probably need a competent lawyer at an early stage.
