I've had to email various images to the police and was told before hand to use the crime ref number in the subject, otherwise the email wouldn't arrive as they don't allow incoming emails containing pictures. however, following all instructions given to me, it still won't send.. what do I need to do?

Make sure you haven't got Re: or Fw: in teh subject title becasie most of teh filters block them automatically. Have you spoken to anyone specific? A lot of the time only certain officers have privileges on their email accounts to allow them to receive emails.

Some forces won't allow anyone to access hotmail/yahoo etc from their police account because of security reasons.
instead of giving out your e-maill password, you could always create a free piczo account and put the pics onto there then give the police the address and they could get them from there
go to piczo.com to try it
hope this helps
