it is entirely possible given the millions of transactions that anyone could innocently come into possession of a one or more counterfiet notes - so you pay for goods at the supermarket - and the alarm bells ring - would the police arrest you and want an explanation as to how you came upon them? thanks.....back to the printing press......:)

When I worked in a Bank (many years ago) we used to ring the police if we had a counterfeit note. There was only one man hung round long enough for the police to turn up. I don't think they arrested him, just questioned him.
