I have already said in writing that I have been lied to by my company, however they say it is there word against mine

Therefore, for my own protection can I record my spoken word at work and if they say I have lied again and I write down my version and they dispute it, can I make them aware I have taped evidence to support my case/and use it?

I expect like most companies I am not probably allowed to make taped recordings, but in light of my original complaint about lieing, am I allowed to keep a taped recording of myself during work?
