Does anybody know the law on fireworks i.e. restrictions on letting them off in public and times they are allowed to let them off etc. Gelda

It's illegal to set off fireworks between 11.00pm and 7.00am throughout the year, except on the following four evenings:
February 9th: (the permitted period is extended to 1.00am, for Chinese New Year)
November 5th (until midnight, for obvious reasons)
November 12th (until 1.00am, for Diwali)
December 31st (until 1.00am, again for obvious reasons)
