Is it true that if you hit and kill a pheasant or any other wild edible animal on the road, you are not allowed to take it away with you but another person following is allowed to do so? I heard this on the Wogan show last week and Ive been wondering ever since.
A colleague of mine was driving one of our lorries and saw a pheasant rise off the road at the last second -it wasn't until he arrived back at work were we were able to pull the thing tail first out of the front grill - needless to say it was very tasty.
daft as it sounds, you need a game license to kill 'animals'. So if you knocked one over then its right you are not allowed to take it, but the other person following hasnt killed it, so yes he can!!!
