I have recently sold something on ebay, and when they got it they sent it back with bits missing, and said it wasn't as described and now they are demanding there money back or they say they will take me to court. I don't mind sending them back the item, but they dont want it. can they actually take me to court? the item was less than �100. cheers

there are a lot of people who try it on on ebay, i have come across this many times,

the best thing would be to consult ebay, and i dont think it will sand up in court as its your word against theirs,
what type of feedback do you/ they have, this might help.

what was missing?

perhaps they have an identical item and just wanted the missing parts for it.

write back saying you have photos of the item just before posting and you know that the missing bits were included in the package.

also, are you certain it is the same item you sent...

Yes it's the same item. At the moment i've got the money and the item so i'm not to bothered. i just want to know if they can take me to court or not. as they are sending me threatening letters all the time.

They'll probably start a dispute on ebay saying you're not describing your items properly, which, if they win, will give you a strike against your account. They'll probably leave negative feedback but u can reply to this so that's not too bad.

I don't think the courts would be interested in this one little bit, but thats just my opinion

your fine, just tell that person that you posted it complete and if there is any insurance on the postage give him the details. If there was no insurance on the postage its his responsibility in paying. However it looks more likely hes tampered with the item and its not gone missing in the post to me.
