My guess is you are changing your email address to a web based one that is not dependent on your IPS, such as hotmail, gmail...

Good for eBay - it's one way of cutting down on scammers.

Not suggesting you are a scammer - but there is nothing wrong in eBay wanting some proof of id.

I have changed my addy three times and never been asked for credit card details. Be very wary of giving out details on the net you may have been intercepted by a third party. So contact E-bay through there Chat help room and it will be sorrted out straight away without giving out details...
