Council tenants for private landlords

As a private landlord have you ever rented your property to via your council to people who are claiming housing benefit? I would greatly appreciate your advice regarding the pros and cons before I sign up with the council for this scheme.

I dont think anyone can give you a straight answer to this one. I know two people who rented to council tenants. One will never do it again, complete nightmare with the tenants, the other has had the same people in for years and no probs. I think this is a case for "Pot Luck". Renting has always been a bit of a gamble.
