My ex hub and I separated 3 years ago. We're both in new relationships and very friendly as we have a daughter to consider. I'm basically looking for the cheapest means of divorce. I know there are websites that charge around 70 to do the paperwork then you have to pay something like 350 court costs. Is there a cheaper alternative if nothing is being contested?

You can do it yourself. Go to the court service website at www.courtservice.gov.uk where you can download all the forms and guidance you need. Me and my ex did it ourselves and it only cost us the court fees (which from memory totalled about 250 at the time). Don't pay someone else when the information is freely available.
i did exactly the same and mine cost 150 for the paperwork and 30 for the absolute, although we didnt have children to consider, depending on if you want maintenence for yourself and /or children you may have to see a solicitor
