Breach of House Sale Contract
In a nutshell - bought house. When I arrived the previous owners had left a fridgefreezer, washing machine with clothes in it, cupbaord full of saucepans, loads of kids toys. Most of it left in the garage. Baring in mind all of the above was stated as "to be removed from property" on the contracts.
Spoke to previous owner and advised that her husband would come rouind and collect all. He came, and only took saucepans, and said is wife didnt tell him about the rest. Asked him to come back, he didnt.
Wrote to my solicitor, giving two options - come and collect or be billed.
Solicitor writes back and advised that my request has been sent. That was 6 weeks ago. Not heard anything. I have now advised my solicitor that I will be hiring a van and getting rid of everything . I will invoice the previous owners for van, cost of ddumping at the local dump, and retrospective storage charges (2 per day). If no agreement, then I take to a county court. Does this sound fair?

To make your life miserable by dwelling on this is a bit silly. A CC judge may not see things your way and you may find yourself out of pocket.
Get on with your life and forget it.
