Is driving without insurance a Criminal Offence? I was fined 80.00 and endorsed 6 points on my licence. Can anyone offer advice on my legal situation, or a resource for me to find out?

of course it is a criminal offence and will be on your record for life, even after it is spent,it will show up on a crb check.

Not to be too slow, but that means I need to disclose it forthwith?
It was a small fine- through naivety and an isolated incident I drove a friends car when he got drunk. I totally accept the responsibility of my actions in view of the clarity of law, and I will be more conscientious and go out of my way never to break the law again.
