is there a minimum and maximum amount of compensation that you can receive.as i have put a claim in with my solicitor,after being assaulted by two thugs whom i could not identify.

The minimum amount of an award is �1000. If the injuries which are sustained aren't serious enough to trigger such an award (e.g. if you just received scratches and bruises), no award can be made.

The maximum award is �500,000.
