I live in shared house with 5 smokers, they don't smoke in the house but they do smoke right behind my window. They can spend a whole day chating and smoking, when I ask them to move I can hear "don't open your window then". I would think that the smoking ban should cover shared spaces of private accomodation, including shared gardens. If it's not goind to happend where is my right to live in a smoke free atmosphere? Or maybe I should pay less for rent because I have room without a window and garden? Can you tell me if it's regulated by low somehow?

smoking ban does not cover private residences ... and if they are not smoking in the house then i suggest you can't really ask them to improve their conduct. maybe its time to find a new place to live?
tell them to smoke in the garden , failing that tell them to go and find jobs like the rest of us
just tip a bucket of water over them every time, dumb animals eventually learn!
Eeeerrrrrrrr move out
